Malaysia deports 44 Indonesia migrant workers on drug cases

Nunukan, N. Kalimantan (AntaraNews Lampung) - The Malaysian government has deported 44 Indonesian migrant workers on involvement in narcotics cases.
           
Head of the Unit of Immigration Examination at the Tunin Taka International Port in Nunukan Nasution  said the 44 workers were deported on their record of involvement in drug cases.
           
Sabiruddin bin Tawile (46), one of the workers has been a drug consumers for a year, Nasution cited .
           
Meanwhile, police arrested a man on charge of selling methamphetamine in this border city.
           
Police picked up the suspect Kasimuddin alias Kasim (46)  from his house on Wednesday, Nunukan police spokesman First Inspector Muhammad Karyadi said.
           
Police confiscated 2 grams of methamphetamine  from the suspect, Muhammad Karyadi said.
           
In Lhokseumawe, Aceh, police nabbed  two men on charge of selling drugs in the sub-district of Dewantara.
           
Lhokseumawe police chief Adj. Sr.Com. Ari Lasta said police arrested the suspect identified by their initials  MY (33)  and RA (27), on Tuesday.

           
RA resisted arrest and drew a firearm but police shot him first on the waist, Ari said.

           
Police also confiscated 30 grams of methamphetamine beside the firearm.
