Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA LAMPUNG) - The BandarLampung city police have nabbed seven people on charge of drug abuse in the sub-district of Tanjung Karang, Lampung Province.
The seven were caught red handed on Sunday when using the drug at Jalan Dr Sutomo, head of BandarLampung anti drug police unit Comr. Sonaryoto said here on Tuesday.
Police received the tip off about the "drug party" from local people, Sonaryoto said, adding the place had often been used by a group of people enjoying drugs.
Police also confiscated packets of methamphetamine an five cellular phones, he said.
Currently the suspects are held at the police detention cells in Bandarlampung, he added.
One of the suspect identified as Iz, said the drugs were bought from someone identified as UDN, who has long been in police's list of wanted men.
Iz, who has no permanent work said he used the drug to recover from being tired after doing certain job.
Another suspect BS said he never before used drug and that he was picked up by a friend and brought me to the place join the party.
