Lampung Coffee Festival 2016 To Be Held on December 7

Bandarlampung (ANTARA Lampung) - Lampung provincial government will organize the Lampung Coffee Festival (Lacofest) 2016 from December 7-8, 2016 in Mall Boemi Kedaton here, a spokesman stated.

The Lampung Coffee Festival (Lacofest) 2016 is a party of Lampung coffee lovers, the organizing committee chairman of Lacofest 2016, Khairul Anom, said on Wednesday.

Anom informed that a number of competitions will be held, including a Taste of Coffee competition with a total prize of Rp15 million, a Barista War with a total prize of Rp 10 million, and a Poster Design contest with a total prize of Rp 10 million.

"There is no charge for registration for all the competitions," he pointed out.

Any general participant (Indonesian national) in possession of a 2 kg sample of Lampung Robusta coffee with maximum water content of 12.5 percent, and a maximum defect of 5, is eligible.

The participants will be asked to include the sender's name, address of coffee plantation, the process (wet/dry), and send it to the Committee or Lacofest at Jalan Basuki Rahmat No. 08, Talang, Telukbetung Utara, Bandar Lampung, Lampung (35 211), not later than November 25, 2016.

Common citizens will have to bring the V.60 dripper tool and provide detail of the Lampung Robusta coffee type, including details about the origin of the coffee.

The committee does not provide any tools and materials for the contest. The registration and personal data should be sent to email: lomba@lacofest.com, not later than November 30, 2016.

Meanwhile, the theme for the Poster Design Competition carrying a total prize of 10,000,000 is "Promoting the Lampung Robusta."

The Lampung Coffee Festival 2016 is being held by Lampung Segalow in cooperation with the Plantations Office of Lampung Province. (Ant)
