Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA) - The Lampung Regional Police (Polda) has planned to apply an odd-even traffic rationing system on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road to reduce vehicular volumes in the homecoming and reverse flow during Eid Al Fitr 2019.

"The plan is that an odd-even system will come into effect in the event of a breach in the number of vehicles," Lampung Police Public Relations Head Adjunct Senior Commissioner  Zahwani Pandra Arsyad remarked in Bandarlampung, Saturday.

To handle the homecoming flow from the next Day-10, the Lampung Regional Police has made various preparations, including evaluating the feasibility of toll roads, rest areas, and readiness of members, as well as taking precautionary measures against criminal acts during the homecoming and reverse flow of travelers.

"We and Kakorlantas have reviewed the feasibility of the toll road that the people will use. We have also established coordination with the traffic and road transport forum (LLAJ)," he revealed.

In addition, the Lampung Regional Police, particularly at the South Lampung Police Station, is identifying crime-prone points on the routes that travelers will pass.

"To stave off criminal acts of members, personnel will be deployed at the established security posts (Pos Pam) and other integrated posts. We will later deploy them at ports, airports, terminals, stations, and others," Pandra revealed.
