Bandarlampung, (Antaranews.Lampung) - Immunization of the Rubela Measles (MR) in Lampung Province until the end of October 2018 reached 96.56 percent or exceeded the nationally determined target of 95.00 percent and Lampung was in the second national position.
"We have maximized socialization of MR immunization, the results are quite satisfying because almost all districts and cities have reached 95 percent and some have exceeded 100 percent of the target," said Public Health Service Officer Lampung, Asih Hendrastuti, in Bandarlampung, Tuesday.
She said Lampung became influential because the results of the Rubela Measles (MR) immunization in Lampung were ranked second nationally 96, 56 percent of the national figure.
"This means that almost 100 percent of children in Lampung Province have been vaccinated with MR. Hopefully other districts can continue to do immunizations and until the end of December can be ranked first in the national for MR immunization, "she said.
Asih hopes that doctors, midwives, nurses and other health workers can socialize MR vaccines to the public, because of the importance of MR vaccines for children aged 9 months to 15 years.
According to her, from the results of this achievement, West Lampung Regency 101.73 percent; West Coast 101.68; Mesuji 100.32 percent; Pringsewu 99.69 percent; Tulang Bawang Barat 98.32 percent; Tulang Bawang 98.29 percent, Tanggamus 97.64 percent, Metro City 97.46 percent, Waykanan 97.05 percent, Lampung Central 96.08 percent; South Lampung 95.94 percent; Bandarlampung City 95.82 percent; North Lampung 95.32 percent; Pesawaran 95.17 percent; for East Lampung, it is still 93.21 percent, and overall Lampung Province becomes 96.56 percent.
In addition, the number of regencies and cities in Lampung Province is only East Lampung Regency which has not met the target, which is only 93.21 percent or below the national standard.
With the existence of districts that are below the national figure, it means that they must catch up to the end of December 2018.
"If there are more than 95 percent, MR immunization may be continued, and may not continue MR. The important thing is that the total for all regencies is 95 percent and above," she said
According to her, the ministry of health will give the time until the end of December 2018 for regions that have not reached 95 percent.
