Garut, W Java, July 5 (ANTARA Lampung) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is slated to inaugurate the Kamojang V geothermal power plant (PLTP), here, Sunday.
"Please pray, this morning in Garut, I will inaugurate PLTP Kamojang V Garut, and the ground breaking of PLTP Ulubelu III and IV Lampung," President Jokowi wrote on his Twitter account @jokowi, Sunday morning.
He tweeted that Indonesia has not optimally exploit its energy sources such as geothermal energy, wind, water, biomass and bioenergy.
"Our country is categorically in the ring of fire region, where there is abundant geothermal energy. It's a blessing in disguise. We must manage it," he added.
He also emphasized that the government, the private sector and the community must preserve the environment while exploring those energy sources.
