Jakarta (Antaranews Lampung) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) supports the Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin pair "100 percent" in the April 17, 2019 presidential election, chief of the National Team of Jenggala Center Iskandar Mandji said.
"The allegation that Mr JK supports other presidential candidate is not true. Mr JK supports Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair 100 percent," he said at a national coordination meeting of Jenggala Center at Hotel JS Luwansa here on Sunday.
Jenggala Center is an institution founded by Kalla ahead of the 2014 presidential election to support presidential and vice presidential candidates.
"After the 2014 presidential election was over, Jenggala Center becomes a democracy research institution," he said.
In the 2019 presidential election, the Jenggala Center has thrown its weight behind the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin pair.
Kalla who founded the center 100 percent supports the Jokowi-Amin Ma'ruf pair, he reiterated.
Iskandar said Jenggala Center supports Jokowi-Mar'ruf pair on the ground that their vision and mission are consistent with those of the center.
According to him, Indonesia needs a leader capable of managing the country so that the Indonesian nation and state make progress in the future.
"We believe Mr Jokowi and Mr Ma'ruf meet the qualifications," he said.
