President Jokowi dissolves 18 work teams, boards, committees

Through this Presidential Regulation, it will dissolve (18 work teams, agencies, and committees)

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has officially dissolved 18 work teams, boards, and committees that were operating based on Presidential Decrees.

The decision to dissolve them was stipulated in Article 19 of Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2020 on the COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery Committee, signed by the President on July 20, 2020.

"With the formation of the committee as referred to in Article 1, through this Presidential Regulation, it will dissolve (18 work teams, agencies, and committees),” stated Article 19, paragraph ‘a’ through ‘r’ of the new regulation.

The work teams, agencies, and committees that have been dissolved are as follows:

1. Extractive Industries Transparency Team, formed on the basis of Presidential Regulation Number 26 in 2010 on Transparency of State Revenues and Regional Revenues Obtained from Extractive Industries;

2. The National Coordination Agency for Agricultural, Fisheries and Forestry Counseling, established on the basis of Presidential Regulation Number 10 of 2011 on the National Coordination Agency for Agricultural Extension, Fisheries and Forestry;

3. The Committee for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development 2011-2025, which was formed based on Presidential Regulation Number 32/2011 concerning the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development 2011-2025, amended by Presidential Regulation Number 48/2014 on the Amendment to Presidential Regulation No. 32 of 2011;

4. The Sunda Strait Strategic Area and Infrastructure Development Agency, formed on the basis of Presidential Regulation Number 86/2011 concerning the Development of Strategic Areas and Infrastructure in the Sunda Strait;

5. The National Coordinating Team for Mangrove Ecosystem Management, which was formed based on Presidential Regulation Number 73/2012 concerning the National Strategy for Mangrove Ecosystem Management;

6. The Agency for the Improvement of Drinking Water Supply System, which was established through Presidential Regulation Number 90/2016 concerning the Agency for the Improvement of Drinking Water Supply System Operations;

7. Steering Committee for e-Commerce Road Map of the 2017-2019 National Electronic Trading System (Road Map e-Commerce), established under Presidential Regulation Number 74/2017 on the e-Commerce Road Map National Electronic System (Road Map e-Commerce) in 2017-2019;

8. The Task Force for the Acceleration of Business Conduct, established under Presidential Regulation Number 91/2017 concerning the Acceleration of Business Conduct;

9. The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordination Team for the Provision of Guarantees and Interest Subsidies to PDAMs in the Context of the Acceleration of Drinking Water Supply, established under Presidential Regulation No. 46/2019 concerning Provision of Guarantees and Subsidies of Interest by the Central Government in the context of the Acceleration of Drinking Water Supply;

10. Overseas Commercial Loans Team, which was formed on the basis of Presidential Decree No. 39/1991 concerning Coordination of Management of Overseas Commercial Loans;

11. The National Team for Multilateral Trade Negotiations in the Framework of the World Trade Organization, which was formed based on Presidential Decree No. 104/1999 concerning the Formation of a National Team for Multilateral Trade Negotiations within the Framework of the World Trade Organization, amended several times, most recently through Presidential Decree No.16/2002 concerning the Second Amendment to Presidential Decree No. 104/1999;

12. The PT (Persero) Restructuring and Rehabilitation Team of the State Electricity Company (PLN), established through Presidential Decree No. 166/1999 concerning the PT (Persero) Restructuring and Rehabilitation Team of the State Electric Company (PLN), amended by Presidential Decree No. 133/2000 concerning Amendments to Presidential Decree No. 166 of 1999;

13. Financial Sector Policy Committee, established on the basis of Presidential Decree No. 177/1999 concerning the Financial Sector Policy Committee, amended several times, most recently by Presidential Decree No. 53/2003 concerning the Second Amendment to Presidential Decree No. 177/1999;

14. The Interdepartmental Committee on Forestry that was formed on the basis of Presidential Decree No. 80/2000 concerning the Interdepartmental Committee on Forestry;

15. The Coordinating Team for the Improvement of Flow of Exported and Imported Goods, formed on the basis of Presidential Decree number 54/2002 concerning the Coordination Team for the Smooth Flow of Exported and Imported Goods, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 24/2005 concerning Amendments to Presidential Decree No. 54/2002;

16. The National Team for Increasing Exports and Increasing Investment, which was created based on Presidential Decree No. 3/2006 concerning the National Team for Increasing Exports and Increasing Investment; the decree has been amended several times, most recently through Decree No. 28/2010 concerning the Second Amendment to Presidential Decree No. 3/2006;

17. The Coordinating Team for the Acceleration of Construction of Flats in Urban Areas, established under Presidential Decree No. 22/2006 concerning the Coordination Team for the Acceleration of Flats in Urban Areas; and,

18. The National Committee for the Preparation of the Implementation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Economic Community, which was formed on the basis of Presidential Decree number 37/2015 on the National Committee for the Preparation of ASEAN Economic Community.
