Jakarta  (Antaranews Lampung) - Four suspected terrorists, who were shot dead by the National Police's Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88), were believed to plot an attack on the National Police Mobile Brigade headquarters (Mako Brimob) in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, an official said.

Spokesman for the National Police Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said here on Sunday that  the police's anti-terror squad has shot dead four suspected terrorists at Pasirhayam bus station in Sirnagalih village, Cianjur district, West Java, earlier in the day.

"They (suspected terrorists) were on their way to Jakarta to Mako Brimob and will plot an attack there," Wasisto said.

The four suspected terrorists, identified by their initials as BBN, DCN, AR and HR, were also believed to plot a number of attacks on several police posts in Jakarta and Bandung, the police spokesperson said.

The police had trailed the four suspects who rode a silver car with police plate number F 1614 UZ from neighboring Sukabumi district.

As they entered Cianjur district, the suspects who were aware of the police's presence tried to flee and entered the bus station.

The Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) anti-terror squad chased after the suspects but they fight back with their rifles.

The police have seized some pieces of evidence which might be used in terror attacks before the fasting month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, including a car, two home-made revolvers, three bags allegedly containing explosives, two helmets, and one sketch of home-made rifles.

The police have continued to hunt other suspects, while bodies of the suspected terrorists were taken to the Indonesian Police Hospital in Kramatjati, Jakarta, for further investigation.
