Bandarlampung, Indonesia (Antaranews Lampung) - The province of Lampung recorded a surplus of US$120.39 million in its international trade in July, 2018, the regional office of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) said.
Lampung recorded exports valued at US$359.67 million in July, 2018 or an increase of 39.96 percent from the previous month, head of the provincial BPS Yeane Irmaningrum said here on Thursday.
Year-on-year, the export earning in July, 2018 was 17.72 percent larger, Yeane said.
The province exports goods mainly to the European Union, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Australia, and China, other than Asean.
The main export commodities from Lampung are palm oil, coal, coffee, tea, spices and wood pulp and paper.
Meanwhile, imports by Lampung were valued at US$239.28 million in July, 2018, down 0.81 percent from the previous month and from US$260.32 million a year earlier.
