Kalianda, Aug 12 (Antara) - South Lampung Regent Rycko Menoza said construction and repair of roads between sub-districts in that regency would be finished by the end of this year.
"In early 2015 , roads between sub-district in the regency of South Lampung would be all paved," Rycko said here on Tuesday.
He said the roads to be built will total 160 kilometers to cost more than Rp141 billion including around Rp91 billion in loan from Government Investment Center and the rest from regional budget.
He said the road project is included in the priority list of the district administration as it is vital for its economic development.
He acknowledge that the district budget would not be enough to finance its infrastructure project.
"Roads in South Lampung total more than 1,200 kilometers and 40 percent of which are damaged that repairs have to be made by phases," he said.
