Bandarlampung, Nov 26 (ANTARA Lampung) - Lampung's exports of robusta coffee beans reached 22,269 tons valued at US$41.6 million in October or larger than the previous month.

"In September, exports of coffee beans totaled 18,312 tons valued at US$34 million," head of the provincial trade office Ferynia said here on Saturday.

Ferynia said exports of robusta coffee beans continued although the grand harvest has been over for several months in the province.

Grand harvest in Lampung took place from July to September this year, but farmers still have stocks to export, he said.

Exports have been shipped to various regions including Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East, he said.

The price of that commodity, however, has not changed for the farmers at around Rp18,000 to Rp20,000 per kilogram.

Lampung is one of the country`s largest coffee producing provinces.

Indonesia is the fourth largest coffee producers in the world after Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia and the second largest producer of robusta coffee after Vietnam.
