Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) drew attention to the increasingly stronger public awareness, participation, and mutual cooperation during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
"For a year and a half since the pandemic struck, we have made significant progress in our health-related habits and infrastructure as well as improved our national institutions," President Jokowi remarked during his state address at the annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and a Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, Monday.
Jokowi also highlighted the consolidation among cross-sectoral and cross-state government institutions as well as cooperation between the central and regional governments up to the village level.
The president believes this is beneficial to boost the health sector’s capacity and be able to better face the high uncertainty amid the pandemic.

On the similar lines, the president remarked that following a healthy lifestyle, maintaining environmental hygiene, exercising, and consuming nutritious food have become a culture.
"This is a valuable asset to build a healthier society and to develop high-quality human capital," the head of state remarked.
The president chose to wear traditional Baduy ethnic clothing during the annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and a Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, Monday.
