Bandarlampung (ANTARA Lampung) - Tax revenues have reached only 70 percent of the target of Rp1,283.6 trillion set for this year, Taxation Director General Ken Dwijugiasteadi has said.

"We are confident we could reach the target by the end of this year," Ken Dwijugiasteadi said here on Thursday, adding a number of steps would be taken to meet the target for tax revenues this year.

He said since January this year the taxation directorate general  had carried out plans that revenues from various sectors would be met.

He said he noted encouraging growth  in tax revenues from various sectors.

"I am optimistic  the target would be achieved 100 percent even more. We will work hard to meet the target," he added.

He said 19 percent of the revenue would be for infrastructure, 20 percent for education, 5 percent for health, 4 percent for energy subsidy, 9 percent for security defense, 27 percent for public services, 2 percent for rural funds  and 12 percent for transfer to the regions.

He said until October, total tax revenues reached Rp858.05 trillion.
