Palembang, S Sumatra, Sept 23 (ANTARA LAMPUNG) - Indonesia`s men`s badminton team beat their Turkish counterparts 4-1 at the third Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) in Palembang, South Sumatra on Monday.

Indonesia`s I Putu Danu Wira Dharma, who played in the first men`s singles match, lost to Turkish Emre Lale 21-16-21, 21-16, and 21-17 at the sports stadium at the Jakabaring Sport City (JSC) compounds.

However, Indonesian shuttler Rizky Antasari beat Turkish Ramazan Ozturk 21-11 and 21-17 in the second men`s singles match and Rahmat Abdul Rohman defeated Emre Vural 25-23 and 21-9 in the third men`s singles match.

In men`s doubles, Indonesia`s Abu Bakar, who teamed with Edi Supriadi, outclassed Turkish players Emre Arslan and Huseyin Oruc 21-12 and 21-17. In women`s doubles, the Turkish pair of Emre Vural and Emre Lale lost to the Indonesian team of Alwi Mahardika and Felix Eka 10-21 and 18-21.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian badminton team crushed the Azerbaijan team 5-0.

Malaysia`s men`s singles players, comprising Goh Giap Chim, Nur M ohd Azriyin Bin Ayub, and Chong Yee Huan, beat the Azerbaijan contenders, consisting of Musayep Karim, Rzayep Kanan, and Rasulov Hurai.

In the first men`s singles match, Goh Giap Chim defeated Musayep Karim 21-5 and 21-2.

Nur Mohd Azriyin Bin Ayub, who played in the second men`s singles match, beat Rzayep Kanan 21-8 and 21-7. In the third men`s singles match Chong Yee Huan crushed Rasulov Hurai 21-4 and 21-2.

Malaysia`s men`s doubles Low Juan Shen-Tan Kiang Meng defeated Azerbaijan`s Abbasov Teymur and Musayep Karim 21-4 and 21-12.

In the second men`s doubles, Malaysia`s Yew Hong Khen, who teamed with Nelson Heg Wei Keat, beat Azerbaijan`s Rasulov Turai and Rzayep Kanan 21-8 and 21-8.
