Bandarlampung, Lampung, July 25 (ANTARA Lampung) - Lampung exported 21,890 tons of robusta coffee beans worth US$37 million in June or up from the previous month.
Exports in May by the province totaled 14,539 tons valued at US$25.24 million, Ferynia, head of regional trade office , said here Saturday.
Feynia said exports of robusta coffee from Lampung are expected to increase further as harvests are still taking place in a number of plantations in the province.
Lampung also exports arabica coffee though smaller in volume, he said.
Exports of coffee beans have been shipped to other countries in Asia, Europe and Africa including Algeria , Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the United States, etc.
Lampung is the largest producer of robusta coffee in the country producing around 130,000 tons per year.
Indonesia is the second largest producer of robusta coffee in the world after Vietnam.
